Green Chilli Fish

The ingredient of Green Chilli Fish

  • 1 lime zested juiced
  • 1 small lemon zested juiced
  • 3 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 4 x 120g boneless snapper fillets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 2 long green chillies seeded sliced
  • 10 fresh curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon good quality curry powder
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 400ml coconut milk
  • pappadums to serve
  • steamed green vegetables to serve

The Instruction of green chilli fish

  • combine the lime and lemon juice and zest with 1 teaspoon ginger add the snapper and set aside for 30 minutes
  • heat the oil in a frying pan add the onions and cook until soft add the garlic chilli curry leaves and powder spices and remaining ginger and cook for 30 seconds add the coconut milk and stir to combine cook over a low heat for 1 minute then add the fish and marinade poach for 5 6 minutes or until cooked through
  • serve with pappadums and steamed greens
